Sponsor event
Hi group,
I received a call from our fin. director yesterday. He said that the senior management had to make a decision soon regarding the sponsorship for the coming JYSK CZ/SK big Store Manager Meeting (cca 140 + 50 people). He expressed his willingness to support our case if we are able to come up with some idea and would be able to define the scope soon. But we have to have something to show or present to him.
See my previous e-mail with one idea - while we will be returning from TZA (we are going to climb the Mount Kili with Jirny and Fráňa) we could bring some ware, ornaments and decorations ... and in case of some kiosk at the SM meeting we could sell those there.
We can take this idea as a basic concept and either simplify it or even refine it.
Some refinements could be:
- Ware: drawings, small statues, earrings, kanga/vitenge/kitenge = cloths …
- Kanga cloths could be used for kiosk highlightment
- Basic title/heading: „Education is the key to better life“ followed by some text of about ten senteces cut into three pieces. I guess that we should deliver something like that ASAP. There is discussion within the CMT (Country management team) about „global aid/impact“.
- There could be even a money box for either volunteeres or for the money paid for the ware
Any improvement or additional ideas are welcomed and you shoould let us know before 2.12.2018 !!! ;)

August and other students
Dear friends and KiT sponsors
we'd like to thank you for your helpful reaction to our special collection for August. The final amount was 8.833 CZK. From the standard KiT account we've contributed with 2.000 CZK (including 850 CZK fee for money transfer). August was very thankful. It did helped him a lot and he was finally able to start his one year practice. During this year he will not be allowed to offer doctor services on his own. The collected money should help him to overcome this period before he starts to receive the government salary. He is aware of that in return for these money he will be our KiT ambasador in Tanzania even after finishing the school. August is in touch with Mandy and Míra.
At the end of October we also sent the money to Jackeline, all in all 23.000 CZK including transfer fee. The amount in czech crowns is equal to aprox. 2.000.000 TZS. That's the top amount threshold which is defined in our rules for university students. She will have to find another 1 mil TZS from other source. In September she finally received Diploma in Architecture after finishing two years studies preceding the bachalor studies. She is just starting bachalor studies. Thanks to her extensive knowledge she was able to skip the A-level studies. She is in touch via WhatsApp with Dan. Even now we are able to notice that her English is great. The school fees in following years should decrease. As always the first year of the university studies is usually the most expensive.
Another money was sent to Rose who is finishing her last year of the four year baby nurse studies. As well as in case of Jackeline it was the top amount threshold, 2.000.000 TZS. Rose is in touch with Nora via WhatsApp.
Another great news is that Lidya (Kazungu) has successfully finished her advanced midwife studies. She has been back to Moshi for more than a month looking for a job. She sends greetings to all and is planning to write us a letter.
The current KiT account balance is almost 4.000 CZK. That means we managed to distribute almost all of our resources. By the end of the year 2018 and at the begining of the coming year 2019 there shouldn't be any other costs. The only exception may be a small contribution for Godfrey. The only students we will be supporting next year will be Jackeline and maybe Rose if she decides to keep on studying. Due to the fact that several students have fisnihed their studies this year or they are going to finish their studies in coming year we are discussing the possibility to start supporting a fresh new kid. We are in touch with Ema regarding this and we will try to find out the best candidate.
Once again thanks a lot to all of you for helping to change lives of young girls and boys in Tanzania through friendship! And if you will manage to get some extra money for KiT during Christmas we would be more than thankful ;)
Have a great time, take care!

KiT news - September 2018
Kind greetings to all!
The most favorable news is that August is just finishing his 5-years studies to become a Medical Doctor. He is awaiting results which should be available any minute. But are beleive is that they will be as good as possible. ;) He wrote to us two months ago and the last Friday as well. He's expresing big thanks to everybody and he is also asking for a last year sponsorship. Particulary for "internship" = one year required field practice.
Not a long time ago we sent to Godfrey 20.000 CZK for his last year school fees. He was supposed to pay for the half of the year, half of the accomodation and the rest should be for the food. But in the end he payed for the whole school fees, half of the accomodation and he is out of the money for the food. We are not happy about that but looking for the solution.
Just a reminder - we sent some money to Rose in April for the second semester of the third year of the studies. And earlier this year in January we sent the money to Godfrey for "field works" (those were money earned from the Guarant raffle and I'm not sure if these money were transffered through the KiT account).
At this moment there are alltogether 45.000 CZK even without money sent some time ago to Godfrey.
By the end of this month we"d like to summarized the current year expenditures. Preparing the next year estimates is the immediate next step. If there will enough money on the KiT account we'd like to start supporting one new student next year. Let's see ;)
If there are any other KiT news from anybody else just let us know.
Although it's completely unbelievable we've noticed that the walnuts started to fall from the trees - it looks like the autumn is already approaching ... do you have the same feeling that everything is passing by so fast?
Take care!

Great news from Agnes
Dear KiT sponsors,
with great pleasure and pride we are providing You the most fresh news from Agnes. After finishing her internship she worked as a volunteer at Ocean Road Cancer Institute. When the government announced tender for position Graduate radiotherapists Agnes applied for it. After going through the interview she was accepted for that particular position and at the beginning of February she started working.
It's difficult to express by words how proud we are.
Dear friends!
Greetings to you all.
The purpose of writing to you is to give you brief updates and appreciate your support.
After successful completion of internship on October 2017 the following month i worked as a volunteer at Ocean Road Cancer Institute where the government announced job opportunities for Graduate radiotherapists. I applied and went through the interview and guess what? I got the job! I signed contracts and have started working this month (February).
From my heart i appreciate your support and i would quote Veny "Education is the key that opens the door out of poverty".
I would appreciate more if we keep in touch.
Stay Blessed,
Agnes.
