Introduce Yourselves
Dear friends and KiT patrons!
As You may already know our organization is focusing on a friendly approach to students whom we are helping by providing financial support. Therefore we would like to rerun one successful event from the past. As may remember at that time we sent to our "children" a short information about us, who we are and what we are doing for a living or what are into. It wasn't from each individual person but those few lines were put together in pairs or families.
Since that time almost all students are different from those we wrote to those letters. And the new students know almost nothing about us. We think that's now is the right time to fix this :).
May we ask You to wrote just a few lines about yourselves and send us also some pictures of you, it may be even some one one? We will then revisited and will decide whether to print it all out and send it to our students or if we will put it on our web sites under some access restricted page (which is by the way currently being reconstructed).
All the propositions, ideas and comments are welcomed of course.
We are looking forward to seeing your contributions.

Things on the move
Dear friends and KiT patrons!
Since the last news posted the things started to move significantly. Therefore we would like to share with You our happiness from the progress and our "kids" achievements:
August Ngowi was accepted for the University of Dodome particularly to College of Health Science (UDOM(CHS)). He'll be studying the five year program of "Doctor of Medicine". His big dream came true - he always wanted to become a doctor. He was granted a government loan of 4,33 mil TZs what is quite a nice amount. Unfortunately not sufficient. Therefore KiT decided (after thorough calculations) to provide him with the rest of the money - 523.500 TZs (approx. 6.455 czk) for him to be able to complete his university registration.
Gregory Lyima was accepted for University of Dar Es Salam to College of Natural Applied Sciences (UDSM(CONAS)). He's going to study a three year Bachelor degree program of Science in Actuarial Sciences (applied mathematics). He was granted a government loan of 2,86 mil TZs what is a smaller amount comparing to August but still appreciable amount of money. KiT decided (again after thorough calculations) to provide him with 837.500 TZs (approx. 10.327 czk).
Agness Ngowi was accepted for Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in the three year bachelor degree program of Science in Radiation Therapy Technology. She was granted a government loan of 4,11 mil TZs (looks like the medicine disciplines are being supported more generously ;)). Based on the overall circumstance KiT decided to provide her with the biggest amount of 978.400 TZs (approx. 12.060 czk). But the majority of these money is just a one-off payment for the whole study time range. The same for August and Gregory. The money are mainly for the research and study materials. Therefore the future support amounts should be smaller.
Rose Mushi, our youngest student, is progressing greatly in her A-level first year studies. She asked us if we could support her by providing her with the dormitory fees for the second half of the year (her parents went out of the money). After taking into account all the circumstances (travel time and difficulty, impact on her study results etc.) we decided to provide her with the amount of 400.00 TZs (4.950 czk).
All our students our again in full utilization. After finishing their military services in September everything happened so quickly so that it was quite challenging for us to discuss, calculate, validate and send the money in time. Unfortunately Emma is currently out of Moshi due to work therefore we had to send the money directly to each particular student. August and Gregory were able to get the money on their own from Western Union together on the last day before their leave for the University. Agness received the money in Dar Es Salam and Rose was helped by her mother.
On our web pages under section Documents / Reports you can find all the related communication, school "Joining instructions", receipts for money transfers and government loans as well as the A-level certificates.
And last but not least - good news regarding our bank account - we have still enough money as a backup. After sending 36.700 czk (October 2013) the account status is now 50,000 czk + approx. 16,000 czk on the bank account in Tanzania.
Many thanks to all of you for your support and we are looking forward to future days in which we hope to keep on supporting young people in Tanzania on their way to fulfilling their life dreams.

Crossroads
Hi all!
After some time of silence we got some news for You although not so much to write about.
The Tanzania government released the new / corrected 0 final exam results already but we are still missing the information from the Ministry of education who will be placed on which A level school. Bernard and Fidelis got better grades comparing to the previous ones what is definitely increasing their chances for good government school. But due to the lack of the information form the Ministry both guys are still waiting at home. Rose keeps on visiting the Majengo school.
So far we haven't noticed any activity nor from Bernard neither from Fidelis in contacting us and claiming our support for which they would still have some "rights".
In these days we are discussing what to do next with the money on our KiT bank account and also with some KiT money on the Emma's bank account. First option is to stick to current approach and support only the A-level students. That would of course means either to save the money for the next year or to make an exception and supporting Bernard and Fidelis by as much money as they will need in case of not enough money from the government. Second option is to support Agnes, August and Gregory in their university studies and to try to "finish them" in it's special meaning ;) Based on the discussions so far there is a will for this all in all.
Currently we are waiting for the Ministry of Education decision regarding assignment of the students for A-level schools and we are wondering whether Bernard and Fidelis will show any activity. We are also looking forward to seeing results of the University acceptance proceeding for Agnes, August and Gregory.

News from Tanzania
Greetings!
Originally we hopped to manage all the new students finances and administration by the end of April. We hopped that we will manage to have it completed and that by now we will be only waiting for the new Majengo school year kick off. Unfortunately everything got a bit more twisted and complicated and by the time of write this news only Rose managed to start visiting the school ...

Good news!
Hi!
Fidelis, Bernard and Rose have been accepted for Majengo!
School fees per semester are 630.000 TZA (approx. 8.200 czk) so that should be about 1.260.000 TZA per year (approx. 16.400 czk). But the second semester should be cheaper although this is not confirmed information yet. We should pay just for the first semester now. But to be sure Emma will checked this with particular school.
The whole year school fees are approx. 50.000 czk. When counting in accommodation (altogether approx. 30.500 czk per year) it would be approx. 80.500 czk.
